Wasabi Potato Salad
Ingredients

ingredients:

  • 300 g potatoes
  • 60 g cucumber
  • 2 slices ham
  • 1/2 tablespoon wasabi (japanese horseradish)
  • 50 g mayonnaise
  • a little salt
  • a little pepper
  • 1 liter water
Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut into 3 cm. cubes. Pour the water into a pan and add the potato cubes. Cover and boil for 25 to 30 minutes on medium heat until they become soft. Remove from the heat. Drain the water from the pan.

Put the boiled potatoes in a bowl and mash.

Thinly slice the cucumbers. Cut the ham slices into bite-size pieces.

Step 4

Add the cucumbers, ham, wasabi, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix them.

The wasabi becomes an accent, but is not spicy at all. It suits the mashed potatoes and is more delicious than imagined.
